Daughter of Tim and Sally Goddard of Calgary, Alberta. Sister of Victoria and Kate. Wife of Jason Beam.
"She loved her job, loved what she did," her husband, Jason Beam said from their home in Shilo, Manitoba. "She was glad to be in Afghanistan." Captain Goddard was known as a reader and dog lover who volunteered with the Girl Guides. "She wanted to be remembered as a really, really good soldier, not as a female officer, a female soldier or a first of anything" shared her former supervisor, Major Anne Reiffenstein.
