On Indigenous Veterans Day, the City of Toronto honours the bravery of those who served through the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, Afghanistan, peacekeeping missions around the world, and who continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. The ceremony includes traditional ways of honouring warriors from First Nations, Métis, Inuit, as well as non-status Indigenous veterans who served.

Witness a moving display that honours the brave souls who fought for our freedom, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. From November 5 to 11, the historic west facade of Old City Hall will come alive each evening with a powerful visual tribute to those who served and the history of the Toronto Cenotaph.

Join us in marking Remembrance Day with a day of learning and reflection. Take part in workshops led by Library and Archives Canada (LAC) staff and external experts to discover how to use the collections in your research. These sessions will offer both instruction and historical context, along with time for hands-on exploration.
